Martin entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2004, signed originally by the San Diego Chargers. Allocated to NFL Europe (Amsterdam Admirals) he didn’t arrived in the NFL in 2006 when the signed with Green Bay. He spent his first three seasons with the Packers, appearing in 41 games, then signed with the St. Louis Rams. Before joining the Seahawks, he had made nine career starts and had never played in more than 15 games in a single season. Martin originally signed with Seattle on March 15, 2010. The Seahawks released Martin on Sept. 4, before re-signing him for a second time.
2010
- Appeared in two regular-season games (no starts) and caught seven passes for 158 yards (22.6 yards per catch) and one touchdown.
- Caught his only TD pass on Dec. 12, an 11-yarder from Matt Hasselbeck in a 40-12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
- Made his biggest play of the season when he caught a career-long 61-yard pass from Charlie Whitehurst that set up Seattle’s only touchdown in a 19-6 win over the St. Louis Rams that clinched the NFC West title for the Seahawks.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
- Played for Green Bay from 2006-09, appearing in 41 games with nine starting assignments.
- Played for the Oakland Raiders in eight games (no starts) in 2009.
- Had his best year in 2007 when he played in 15 games (five starts) and caught 16 passes for 242 yards and four touchdowns.
- Had the best statistical game of his career on Dec. 31, 2006, when he caught seven passes for a career-high 118 yards (only 100-yard receiving game) in Green Bay’s 26-7 victory over the Chicago Bears.
- Caught a career-high two touchdown passes, both from Brett Favre, in Green Bay’s 34-0 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
